Sorry!

I learned something interesting today. For the first time I can remember, I saw an official Arizona fish and wildlife person working here, which gave me a chance to ask some questions. One thing I learned, which kind of worries me, is that it's not official policy yet, but they are allowing people to stay boondocking here for two weeks instead of the normal three days.

Now, that sounds great to someone like me who loves to be here, but the problem is that it also sounds like they're getting ready to charge people to stay here. The Wildlife officer didn't say that, but it sounds similar to what other places do when they want to turn something into a money-making proposition for the government.

The government is always spending more money than it has, so it's always looking for ways to make more money. That usually involves taking more money out of taxpayers' pockets, which for a State government often includes raising or creating new use fees. It also seems that the government does not like to see people enjoying themselves without paying to do so.

The government never looks to cut its expenses; apparently, it can never do with less. More money and more employees has been how the government works my entire life, and since we've been brainwashed into accepting it, that's probably how it will always be.

Some try to fix it, but they are quickly destroyed with lies, hoaxes, and threats until they change or are swept aside. Meanwhile, American presidents and congressmen retire with millions of dollars in the bank and a legacy of dubious dealings with billionaires worldwide.

I'm sorry for the rant. I try not to watch much news other than the weather, but sometimes, I see more than I should. Since I'm not around many people at Whitewater Draw, I have no one else on whom I can inflict my opinions.
