Random thoughts
It's another warm, mostly cloud-free day. Later this afternoon, it looks like there may be a few clouds in the sky, which gives me a shot at a nice sunset picture.
I should've done something useful today, like laundry, but I couldn't get motivated to do much. I don't dread doing laundry like I used to, when I would have to sit in the laundry room for hours to get everything washed and dried. Now, since my home is always with me, I just go out to the camper and play on the computer until I have to put the laundry in the dryer, which makes doing laundry no more difficult than doing it at my daughter’s house.
I bought some bungee cord at a Quartzsite hardware store, which looks like it's going to be perfect for fixing drawers on the shelf in the camper that I keep my clothes in. It's flat and about half an inch wide, which should easily hold the drawers where they belong, no matter how bad the road.
Another thing I'm looking into is when my truck sits for a long time without running the engine, the batteries start to slowly lose their charge. They never get so low that they won't start the engine but they will get down to 12.2 or 12.1 volts. It wouldn't surprise me if there is a phantom load on the batteries that slowly takes them down, and I've done a lot of electrical things to the truck that would easily explain something slowly sucking the amps out of my batteries that I didn't set up properly.
So I'm considering putting a small solar panel on my dashboard that's hooked up to my batteries that is designed to trickle charge car batteries I'm thinking that should solve my batteries slowly being discharged, and Quartzsite seems like the perfect place to do that.

After being around crowds for a while, I need to get off by myself sometimes and get a peaceful night’s sleep without the sound of generators running.
