Another beautiful day
It's another beautiful cloudless day in the desert. The temperature is mid-70s in the daytime and high 30s at night, and there is negligible humidity. Winter in the desert is the best, but I don't know how people deal with it in the summer. But that's why God made Colorado.
I took a few videos while walking around town today. Maybe I can get enough to make a brief video; I'm still considering going to Whitewater Draw sometime after New Year's and visiting the Sandhill cranes. I enjoy being there, which may give me enough ambition to make a video while walking around the lakes.
It was pretty crowded in Tombstone this morning; they seem to do really good business here in the winter. When I was in business, I used to come here and watch how Tombstone was doing things, and they had one major benefit that Cripple Creek, where I was in business, never had, and that was there are tourists here both Summer and Winter.
Cripple Creek was busy in the summertime, but it was mostly closed up in the winter. Lucky for Tombstone, they've got people on vacation visiting in the summer, and winter travelers like me visit in the winter to escape the snow; it's a win-win for Tombstone.
Of course, I don't think I could've done what I did in Cripple Creek if I had kept the restaurants open all year. There's no way I could've worked the hours and the days in the summer all year long and survived the stress of it all. Some people do, but I don't think that would've been me.

This is actually a rental camper van. Why in the world would anyone paint a rental camper to make it look like a clown car, so by association, the driver looks like a clown.
Wait a minute! It’s got a California license plate….That explains a lot.
It’s a tough job driving a stagecoach: Banditos, Stagecoach robbers, Indian attacks, tourists who don’t tip—it’s just one thing after another.
This bar is a favorite of the bikers.
