The Bosque Del Apache
I moseyed away from my campsite about 8 o'clock this morning and hit Albuquerque after the morning rush hour. It's about 220 miles to the Bosque Del Apache, which is about the limit I try to drive in a day. Since I'm in no hurry, and have no place I need to be I seldom have a reason to drive any farther than that. It's good to get back at the Bosque again, and I hope there are a lot of Sandhill cranes to see once I get over to the lakes tomorrow.
I think I can count this as a great day. I made it safely to where I was trying to go. I got a nice place to boondock at the Bosque Bird Watchers RV Park, a hundred yards from the Bosque Del Apache's gate. And best of all, once I got far enough south, I ran out of the effects of the recent snowstorm, and lo and behold, it's still Fall where I'm at. The leaves are yellow, and everything is really pretty.
I know that doesn't sound like much, but a day like this is a real winner for my mundane life. Not only was it a great day, but thanks to my stay at Storrie Lake State Park, I'm fully acclimated to my traveling life. I'm more used to being a traveling man now, and I'm fully prepared for my life on the road.

As I was setting up the camper, a few Javelinas came wandering by, apparently looking for food. But the only thing I know they eat is prickly pear cactus… And I was fresh out.
I’m back in Fall again.
Javelinas are not the handsomest looking critters I’ve ever run across.
My boondocking spot at the Bosque Bird Watchers RV Park. Mr. Trujillo, the owner, says I can park anywhere I want as long as I’m not hooked up to utilities. So this spot will do for now
