limitless laziness and perpetual procrastination
Today's temperature reached 80°, which was made perfectly comfortable by the humidity in the teens. Being raised in Miami, Florida, where the humidity is 99% most of the time, it's always amazing how low humidity can make weather that's both too hot or too cold pleasant.
I didn't do much of anything today other than walk in the dry wash next to where I'm boondocked. I'm still trying to figure out what I will do about leaving Wickenburg sometime this week.
There are three things I would like to accomplish while I'm here.
1... I wanted to walk up a hill near where I'm boondocked to get some pictures and video of an overall view of the trust lands where I'm camped. I think I've already got enough video of me going for a walk in the dry wash. Remember, I'm trying to turn these videos into a brief movie as easily as possible, so it doesn't take very many video clips to do that. However, due to my laziness and procrastination, doing anything that requires effort on my part is an unending internal struggle.
2... I want to go to the Vulture Mine Museum, which is about 5 miles down the Vulture Mine Road from where I'm at. It's only open Thursday through Sunday, so I should've gone there already, but that gets into the whole procrastination and laziness thing all over again.
3... I would also like to attend the "End of Trail" cowboy shooting championship at Ben Avery gun range just north of Phoenix, which started yesterday and will continue until this coming Sunday. Ben Avery gun range is only about 50 miles from where I'm at in Wickenburg, so driving there is not a big deal. But I still have to contend with laziness and procrastination.
I would LIKE to do these things, and in tomorrow's blog, I might discuss how I can accomplish these things while dealing with Limitless laziness and perpetual procrastination.
Theboondork
I went out this afternoon and walked about ¼ of the way up a little hill just to see how the walking was, take a few snapshots, a little video, and see how difficult walking was going to be.
It wasn’t too bad, but as usual, when walking over a lot of roundish rocks, coming down hill was worse than going up due to rocks rolling out from under my feet.
I took these pictures about ¼ way up the hill. and the pictures turned out okay. But for some strange reason, when I put the video that I had taken on my computer, the video wasn’t there!
It was very weird. The video would play on my camera viewing screen, but it wouldn’t play on either of my computers or any of the different video players I have. The video is a standard MPEG-4 video like I always use, so I’m still not sure what’s going on. But I’m glad I didn’t walk all the way to the top and find out the video wasn’t working.
A schoolie boondocking in the main part of the trust lands.
