Barrel racing ?
I know that there's a lot of team roping going on at several arenas in Wickenburg. However, I saw on the Internet yesterday that there is supposed to be barrel racing tomorrow at an arena I've never been to before.
The online advertising I saw was aiming to provide information to the contestants, and there was no mention of being a spectator, as I would be. I’m not even sure if they allow spectators; there was no mention of admission fees or where to go to get there, just the name of the ranch where it was being held and the prize money to the winners.
I would sure enjoy seeing that since, to me, barrel racing is a whole lot more interesting to watch than team roping. Additionally, this barrel racing event is held outdoors during the daytime, which makes taking pictures significantly easier than the indoor pictures I took of the barrel racing at the Pima County Fairgrounds in Tucson.
I'm fairly certain I know how to get to the area where the barrel racing is supposedly being held. The ad stated it starts at lunchtime, so I plan to visit tomorrow and see if they'll let me in to watch and take a few pictures.

I'm happily ensconced back in my favorite boondocking spot, on Arizona trust lands a few miles south of Wickenburg.
My teeny tiny home overlooks the main part of the Wickenburg Arizona trust lands where most RVers boondock.
I’m still trying to get up before the sun comes up, just in case there’s a pretty sunrise. And since I’m in my favorite boondocking spot, there’s usually no one else around, so I can go outside and take pictures while still wearing my pajamas and slippers - not that anyone would care; I see boondockers all the time walking their dogs early in the morning in their pajamas….. just to be clear, that would be the boondockers wearing pajamas, not their dogs.
I’m boondocking in my favorite spot at the Wickenburg, Arizona, trust lands.
My favorite spot also offers a view of Vulture Peak, one of the many reasons I like it.
