More decisions
I'm still in the Phoenix area, unable to decide when or if I should return to Wickenburg. That's mostly because I'm concerned about the almost constant rains predicted for Wednesday and Thursday.
I've experienced some rainy days at my current location, and other than being a bit muddy, it was no big deal. But Wickenburg has a lot more dry washes scattered around, not to mention the Hassayampa River, which runs right through town and is a well-known flooding risk. So, I don't feel my concerns are unfounded. On the other hand, there are more things for me to do in Wickenburg, but how many of those things can I do if it's raining?
There are other things for me to think about. On March 29th, the Arizona Outdoor Expo is being held at Ben Avery gun range, which I go to as often as I can because it has many exhibitions of outdoor activities that people do in Arizona that I enjoy seeing and learning about. And then, on April 3, an international archery shooting event is being held at Ben Averys, which is interesting to me and something I enjoy watching and taking pictures of.
So, those are things I'm keeping in mind that would give me a reason to be near Ben Avery's near the end of this month.
Theboondork
A few days ago, I held a contest to identify who this cowboy at the "End of Trail" cowboy shoot identified with, and I offered the coveted Attaboy as a prize.
The contest has officially ended, and no one had the correct answer. I thought this would be simple to guess, but apparently, it wasn't, so I've included the answer below.
the answer, of course, is "Mongo" from the funniest Cowboy movie ever made, "Blazing Saddles." And was such a popular movie I thought the character of Mongo would be remembered. Mongo was played by Alex Karras a professional football player who played for the Detroit Lions and is in the football Hall of Fame.
The rider and the horse must know what they’re doing, considering the speed at which all this is happening.
