What time change?

I'm considering heading back to Wickenburg on Monday, but since two more days of rain are predicted on Tuesday and Thursday, I may stay here near Phoenix until that's over. The Arizona trust lands where I'm currently located have shown themselves to remain in good shape after a decent rain like I've had for the last couple of days, so sheltering in place would be the logical thing to do, but I need a new view so heading back to Wickenburg may be in the cards. So, even though I'm not sure where I want to go or when I want to go there, I am very fortunate to have those choices.

I was reading on the Internet this morning about the chances of Arizona having a "Super-bloom" of flowers this year, and so far, it doesn't look too good. Apparently, it's all about the temperatures and rainfall during the winter, and they're saying that it's been too warm this winter, and there is not enough rain to have a super-bloom.

There has been some rain lately, but I don't know if it's come at the right time to help with a Super Bloom. The flowers are supposed to start blooming in March, depending on the weather, just like they do every year. Still, the much-anticipated Super blooms don't often happen due to the perfect balance needed between the rain and temperature.

So I imagine I'll start seeing some flowers pretty soon, but nothing like the carpets of flowers, especially the Mexican poppies, that will cover certain areas of the Sonoran Desert.

One of the benefits of being in Arizona is that the time doesn’t change. So, while the rest of the country is scurrying around trying to figure out what time it is and reset their clocks, life in Arizona goes on just like normal, making one wonder why the rest of the country finds it necessary to go through this inconvenience twice a year.

The mountains in the background got a little snow yesterday, but it wasn’t a problem for those of us at the foot of the mountains in the Arizona trust lands.
