Doing laundry is still a problem
I drove into town today, threw away some trash at the free Quartzsite dump, picked up some drinking water, and decided to stay at the Dome Rock BLM boondocking area.
I also drove through the Quartzsite laundromat parking lot, and for some reason, it was so crowded I didn't think I was going to be able to get out of it. The parking lot was full, so people were parked in weird ways, and a lot of them were in RVs, which made it difficult for me, with my camper on board, to get out of the parking lot once I got in it.
I think one of the problems is there used to be mostly cars in the laundry parking lot. Most people had motorhomes and trailers, so they would leave them in their boondocking spot and drive to do the laundry in their car or truck. But now most of the vehicles in the laundry parking lot are class "B's" and other small RVs like "Super B's," so the parking lot is full of small RVs instead of cars and trucks, which take up much more space.
So I guess it's possible that the laundromat itself isn't that busy, it's just that the parking lot is so full of vans it makes the laundromat look busy. I could go inside and find out, but I've yet to see a place I could park. Oh well, I'll turn my blue jeans inside out and get another week or two out of them.

More wagons circling, even though it looks like they’ve got a couple of wagons missing.
My boondocking spot at Dome Rock BLM boondocking area. I’m on the other side of the road from Dome Rock, which is much less crowded on the side of the road, where all the off-road vehicles play.
A small wagon circling made with big wagons.
Even compact station wagons can be an RV if you so choose. This one has a solar panel on its roof.
