Cold and windy
It's cold! It only got up into the 40s today, and tonight, it's supposed to be in the low 20s. As if that wasn't enough joy for one person to deal with, the wind was blowing around 30 miles an hour for most of the day. Well, certainly, there's more to my life than dealing with the cold. Nope! That's about it.
Daytime temperatures will start picking up tomorrow, but for some strange reason, nighttime temperatures are going to remain in the 20s for the next four or five days. I really need to get someplace further west where the Saguaros grow to get out of most of this bad weather.
One of the places I would like to go to is Ajo, Arizona. It’s usually warm there, but I'm concerned about all the illegals still pouring across the border and what effect that will have on Ajo now that the borders will be closed on January 20th. Ajo has long been a favorite crossing area for illegals, and there's a large contingent of border patrol in the Ajo area just for that reason. And places south of Ajo, like the Pipe Organ National Park, have already pretty much been taken over by drug smugglers, and there are government warning signs everywhere in the area to that effect.
And my concern is there's going to be a rush of people trying to get across the border before the 20th, and many of those folks will be got- a- ways that for one reason or another don't want to come in contact with border patrol agents. And since all border patrol agents do anymore is give them a sandwich, a jug of water, and a bus ticket to an American city of their choice. Anyone who doesn't want to come in contact with the border patrol must be coming here for some nefarious purpose. And I don't want to be the only one boondocking out in the desert when they walk up.

Bird photographers. They’ve always got the best equipment…. Because their subject is so small.
Another one of those clunky, odd, outrageously expensive RVs. And where is the tag on their back bumper from? …. Mars?
