getting used to my new blog

I think it's weird that I miss my first Weebly blog, but that blog has been a big part of my life for almost ten years, and I guess it's just hard to let go.

But let go; I must, because it served its purpose by letting me write down my daily experiences, no matter how boring or mundane, and at the same time helping me learn the ins and outs of blogging, especially the outs, and hopefully, this new blog will allow me to get rid of most of the outs.

For me, the biggest out was being unable to have a duplicate of a template that my blog would be written on. So, every day, I had to build a new template just to have a place to write and put my pictures. That wasn't the hardest thing in the world to do, but after almost ten years, it wasn't very pleasant for something that could be solved so simply. But now I save a copy of the "bare bones" of my blog, and all I have to do is write something and put in some pictures; it saves me a lot of time not starting from scratch every day.

My second worst thing was the archives of all my old blog posts and the difficulty of finding an individual past blog. I never figured out a way to do it, and I don't even know if it was possible, but it's simple now and no longer a concern.

The third problem with Weebly is the owners, who are no longer supporting it, so it will die a slow and painful death. Knowing me and my ability to procrastinate endlessly, I knew I would put off doing anything about it until it was too late If I didn't build a new website now while living in my daughter's driveway and not doing much of anything, I could end up with no working website and it would be all my fault.

It clouded up a couple of hours before sunset, giving me a very pretty sunset to photograph.

When I woke up the next morning, it was cold...it was real cold. The inside thermometer said it was 38° inside the camper, and as you know, I don't leave the heat on at night. But the truck hood covered with frost gave me a whole nother temperature.

I pert near like to froze, but the sunset was worth it.
