The weather is going to turn cold !!

Well, glory be, I think the weather gods have smiled on me. In what way, you may ask? Apparently, the weather is going to be beautiful up until the middle of next week. Then, a cold front is coming through, which is going to keep the high temperatures for the next three days in the mid-50s and mid-30s at night, with a slight chance of snow.

So what's so great about that? The weather until mid-next week will be warm and perfect for getting things done in the camper. But then, just as I'm getting used to that wonderful Fall weather and hate to leave, right before I'm heading South, the cold front comes through and makes me happy that I'm heading South where the weather is warmer. It doesn't sound like much, but leaving my family is difficult enough. Leaving my family and the beautiful weather makes getting on the road much tougher.

I'm quite famous for putting things off, even important things, but when it comes to my ability to comfortably boondock, I'm usually able to put my procrastination aside and get things done, and in this case, cleaning my solar panels was of the utmost importance.

When I was installing my new roof vent with the fan, I couldn't help but notice how dirty my solar panels were since the sun is low on the horizon during the winter. The solar panels don't get much charging anyway; the last thing I needed was something blocking the sun from getting to the solar panels, and there was enough smut on the panels to cut down on their efficiency. As a long-term boondocker, I need all the charging I can get.

So today, I again risked life and limb by gingerly climbing up my telescoping ladder onto the roof of the Lance and squeegeed the heck out of my dingy panels so hopefully, they will now keep the Lance supplied with 12-volt power, which is what it takes to run my laptops, and keeping my laptops running. My camera batteries charged up have become one of the most important things in my life, which is a good indication of the direction my life is heading.

The tree stretches out its arms to the sun showing off its bright yellow colors and trying to make the most of the waning sunshine

I can imagine an old man and his wife sitting on the patio, cups of coffee in hand, and admiring their handiwork of turning an old fire hydrant into a waterspout for their homemade birdbath

On this familiar neighborhood corner, the trees are showing off the various colors of Fall: the bright yellows, the dull reds, and the rusty orange, the most common colors found in the Denver area.
