Thinking ahead

It looks like the weather is calling for the next couple of days to be in the 60s, and then it will be in the 70s and 80s for the remainder of the 10-day forecast. This is good and may make me rethink where I should head after leaving Quartzsite. I was thinking of going further South to be in warmer weather, but now places like Wickenburg or Lake Havasu might make more sense.

Lake Havasu does sound kind of nice. There's a very convenient BLM boondocking area only about 3 miles from a Walmart. Only another mile or three down the road is the London Bridge, where all the action is. It's usually more crowded in that boondocking area than I like, but it's so convenient to so many things that I typically stay there anyway.

Of course, Wickenburg is a great place to stay, with several Arizona trust lands conveniently located near town. There are also lots of team roping arenas to take pictures of. And I like the cowboy "vibe" of Wickenburg. The biggest problem is there's no nearby Walmart. There's a Safeway and a Bashas', but since there's no Walmart for competition, those two stores are very expensive.

My solution to that problem used to be to stock up on food before I got to Wickenburg, but my storage areas in the Lance are limited, as is my weight-carrying ability, so "stocking up" doesn't mean what it used to.

But I'll figure it out. Since I live in the moment and don't think too far ahead, problems like that don't bother me until they're right in front of me, and even then, my procrastination usually kicks in, and I figure I'll worry about it tomorrow.
