Plumosa road
I relocated to the Plumosa Road BLM boondocking area, figuring I would soon go to the Parker Walmart.
There were many RVers leaving Quartzsite yesterday. The Big show ended Sunday, so I guess a lot of folks packed up and headed for other boondocking areas. It is much nicer to be in Quartzsite without all the crowds, but it is more difficult for me to find boondocking areas when I leave.
Many folks will be heading for Lake Havasu, a very popular place for boondocking. The town is big enough to have everything you might need, including all the big-box stores like Home Depot and Walmart, but it is small enough to have a small-town feel and not a lot of traffic.
I'm considering going there myself and staying at some of the different Arizona trust lands, but I'm not sure if the weather might be more chilly up there. I might be in better weather if I headed south to a place like Ajo. The border has calmed down tremendously, so I don't fear illegals and the problems they were bringing to the border areas as much as I did when Biden opened the border.
I'm also still thinking about going to Wickenburg, Arizona. Weather forecasts show it a little bit cooler there than in southern Arizona, mostly because Wickenburg is somewhat higher in altitude. And it's cheaper for me to live in a warmer place because I use less propane to keep warm.
As usual, I probably won't know until I wake up one morning and decide it's time to get a new view, which will compel me to put on my traveling shoes and point my old truck down the road to somewhere.

Plumosa Road has always been one of my favorite boondocking areas. It’s a very large area so it's easy to find a place with neighbors that aren’t too close, and it's five or six miles closer to Parker and the Walmart
This para-motor must’ve seen my camera because he waved as he flew right over my head.
Looking at all of the strings attached to this thing, it seems like it would be easy to get tangled up if something went wrong.
like I’ve mentioned before the desert skies are mostly clear and blue, and sometimes a front has to come through to change that, and that may take some time.
But sometimes the wait is worth it.
