An idea

Writing about making videos yesterday gave me an idea. I always try to take a picture of my latest boondocking spot to show where I'm living, as that location changes fairly often. I do that to show everyone what the newest environment around me looks like.

This prompted me to consider creating a brief, 30-second-or-less video of where I'm boondocking and what the surrounding area looks like. If I can keep the video time short and limit it to four or five video clips, I think I could put that together quickly and easily enough that it won't take me weeks to make a movie.

An added benefit would be that I would be creating brief videos fairly often, so I might become more proficient in using my video editing software, making it easier to turn out a watchable movie. And maybe making a video like that would at least put a small amount of pressure on me to have it done before I moved on.

So, why do I think of things like this? Mostly because I try to write a blog post every day, and yet I don't do things worth writing about every day. My life is no more interesting than anyone else's, but I've got to come up with something to say every day whether it's worth writing about are not..... And believe me, most of the time, it's not.

Making a video is a challenge…a challenge is good for old geezers like me.
