Future fanciful flights of fantasy

I wanted to go to Walmart today, but after dealing with the traffic trying to get out of the Arizona Expo yesterday, I decided to wait until Monday when that traffic mess will be over. Remember when I would attend these Expos before? I would boondock at one of the Ben Avery campgrounds so I didn't have to deal with all the traffic going to and coming from the Expo.

My next plan is to watch a three-day archery championship next weekend at Ben Avery. It's called the Arizona Cup, and it's an international event. I watched it once before, several years ago, and it was really interesting to see experts who knew how to shoot a bow.

I'm rethinking my concerns about visiting Ajo, Arizona. It seems like the border areas aren't as dangerous as they used to be, so maybe a week or two in Ajo would give me a chance to get some airplane pictures as they fly over the local bombing range.

After that, I have no plans other than to slowly work my way back to southern New Mexico and boondock my way up north so I can use more of my annual New Mexico camping pass before it expires. I suppose I'll get to use it again next winter since it doesn't expire until the end of November 2025.

Giant chip plant near the Ben Avery gun range. Since I watched them build this place, I know that despite its impressive exterior, there’s a significant amount of it underground that can’t be seen.

I wonder why it takes such a gigantic place to build something as tiny as a computer chip?

Inside one of the many tents set up at the Arizona outdoor Expo.

I didn’t spend a lot of time inside the tents for obvious reasons. It’s somewhat challenging to adjust to being around crowds of people when you’ve spent months mostly alone….But right or wrong, good or bad, that’s the life I’ve chosen for myself.

Either a sign of Spring or a warning not to sit here.
