Happy Thanksgiving
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.
I know it's not traditional, but I had salmon for my Thanksgiving dinner. It's something I know how to make without messing it up too badly, and I seldom get to eat it on the road. I had considered getting a rotisserie chicken from Walmart, but I have them every once in a while, so they're not as special as having salmon.
On holidays like this, I really miss my family, but I've chosen a life that requires that I be somewhere warm in the winter, so I miss all the winter holidays with my family. But I just can't deal with the cold like I used to, so I don't know what I would do if I had to spend the winter in Colorado.
But it’s not exactly toasty warm here in the middle of New Mexico. My 10-day weather forecast calls for mid-60s for highs and 30s for lows. I'm trying to stay around New Mexico as long as possible to get as much use out of my annual camping permit. If it wasn't for that, I would probably just head for Arizona, where the 10-day forecast for Phoenix is high 70s in the daytime and 50s at night, which, due to the low humidity, sounds pretty comfortable to me.
