Day after Thanksgiving
I never did see crowds of people here at the Park on Thanksgiving day I guess maybe they all did go to grandma's house and got in some high quality family time, instead of seeing who has the loudest music on the beach. But I assume a lot of folks got four days off this holiday so there's still plenty of time for them to head to Elephant Butte state Park and throw a few hot dogs on the BBQ.
I'm pretty sure I'll leave here sometime next week, and more than likely head over to City of Rocks State Park, near Silver City New Mexico I always enjoy myself there, and it's one place that I actually have fun going for a walk, because of the scenery and the challenge of the walk.
I had figured I was gonna stay here longer but the weather in southern Arizona is looking much warmer than it is here and I'm looking forward to being in some T-shirt weather again.
